In Nigeria today how many of the masses know about the Millienium Development Goals? 1.5%,3% or should i say 10%. Taking a bus through lagos mainland, i seized up the opportunity to chat with passengers on the topic "HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE MILLIENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS" and the response i got was heartbreaking, only 1 person knew!. With this result, once a week through the month of April, i went out to talk to people on the streets and in buses about how we as an individual or a group could help our community(i would not use nation because it scares alot away) tackle a particular millieniun development goal e.g eradicating extreme poverty and hunger (goal 1) the response i got was encourading, i was invited to give a talk on MDGs to a group of friends whom i learnt later talked to others about their insight on how to face each of the MDGs. I believe DFKs around this country have a big work ahead of them. we could start with our neighbours, introduce them to all you know on the various MDGs and before you know it, one or two would have gotten the message and would want in their own way to tackle a particular MDG.THIS I BELIEVE WOULD MAKE OUR COUNTRY A BETTER PLACE
